Arctic Venue Group (AVG) will process your personal data in a lawful and secure manner. Here you can read about how we process your personal data and what rights you have as a registered user in our systems. Arctic R&B AS is the responsible owner of Arctic Venue Group.


Privacy Policy
In July 2018, Norway received a new Personal Data Act. The law consists of national rules and the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The regulation applies to all EU/EEA countries.


Where do we collect information from?
AVG usually collects necessary information directly from you, for example when you apply for services from us via an online form on our website, if such is used. When you call us, send an email or are in contact with us in another way, you also provide information. The information enables AVG to process your inquiry.

What personal data do we process?
Personal data is all information and assessments that can be linked to you as an individual. You can read more on the Norwegian Data Protection Authority's pages about what is considered personal data.


1. Introduction

This privacy statement applies to Arctic R&B AS and the AVG website and explains why we collect information about you, how we use this information and how we take your privacy into account. Arctic R&B AS, through the CEO, is the data controller for the company's processing of personal data. The statement contains information you are entitled to when information is collected from our websites (Personal Data Act § 19) and general information about how we process personal data (Personal Data Act § 18, 1st paragraph). Arctic R&B AS basis for processing personal data will vary, but will, according to the Personal Data Act § 8 ​​letters a and b, consist of consent from the data subject or because it is required by law. Furthermore, it may be necessary to process personal data to fulfill an agreement with the data subject or to fulfill a legal obligation. Consent to the processing of personal data can be withdrawn at any time in accordance with GDPR Article 13 (2) letter c.


2. About personal data and the regulations
Personal data is information and assessments that can be linked to an identifiable individual. This can be name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, IP address and purchase and behavior history. All processing of personal data, such as collection, registration, storage and disclosure, is subject to special rules, including in the Personal Data Act. The general manager is responsible for ensuring that the processing is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the law. The Data Protection Authority supervises compliance with the law.


3. What kind of information do we collect?
In order to provide the best possible services, we are dependent on collecting various types of information, including personal information about you if you sign up for our customer club. Signing up for the customer club is voluntary and occurs by providing information after clicking a link that leads to Yaabi's service for this customer club. Below is an overview of how we typically collect personal information and what information this typically is. We do not collect sensitive information.
a) Information you provide to us
When you register for the customer club on our website, you must provide some information that is stored by us, such as name, email address and mobile number. We will also store information when you contact us later. The information you provide can also be enriched using lookup services or social media that you give us access to.
b) Information we obtain through the use of our services
When you use our services, we register information about which services you use and how you use them. We collect information about:
1) Your device and your internet connection
We may record information about the device you are using, such as your mobile/PC manufacturer, operating system and browser. We may also collect information about your connection to our services, such as IP addresses, network IDs, cookies and unique identifiers.
2) Use of service or purchase
We record information about your use of the services, such as which pages you visit, when you visit the pages and which features you have used on the pages.
c) Information we receive from other sources
We may receive information about you if you use any of the other services we offer on this website. We also work closely with third parties (e.g. business partners, providers of technical services, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics companies, search engines and credit reference agencies) and may receive information about you from them. This also includes information that is publicly available.
d) Cookies and other content stored locally
When you use our services or visit our websites, cookies and other data are stored that can later be read by us.
e) Automatic assessments
Through analysis of your purchases and behavior, automatic categorization of you as a customer can be derived.


4. What is the information used for?
We use personal data for the following purposes: a) To provide and improve our services We use personal data to provide our services to you. For example, we need personal data to enable you to log in to our pages and, if relevant, to be able to pay for services. We also use personal data to ensure the best possible user experience for you, including by adapting the display of content to your screen/device and ensuring the fastest possible loading of the pages. b) To customize the services, provide you with recommendations and relevant marketing We want to provide you with recommendations, product information and service customizations that are most relevant to you. This will be given both on the basis of your own behavior, e.g. on the basis of which products and services you have used or purchased, advertisements you have clicked on, or articles you have read, and on the basis of the behavior of other users with similar usage patterns to you. c) To improve digital communication and advertising We use your personal data to improve our advertising. By creating a profile with us, you accept targeted advertising through programmatic purchases and targeted advertising through social media where your personal data will be used in the purchase of such advertising. d) To prepare statistics and understand market trends We prepare statistics and map market trends. We do this in order to be able to improve and further develop our product offerings and services. As far as is practical, we try to do this with anonymous information, without us knowing that the information is specifically linked to you. e) To prevent misuse of our services We use personal data to prevent misuse of our services. Abuse can include attempts to log into other people's accounts, attempted fraud, "spamming", incitement, harassment and other actions that are prohibited by Norwegian law.


5. Sharing of information
Arctic R&B AS and AVG in some cases share personal information with other companies that perform services on our behalf. This is primarily to give you a safer and better shopping experience. Here are the most important examples: a) When others perform services on our behalf For example, web and marketing agencies to operate the website and show you targeted marketing, as well as create campaigns. These are not allowed to use this personal information for anything other than performing services for Arctic R&B AS and AVG. b) In case of suspicion of a violation of the law, information may be disclosed to public authorities upon request. We may also disclose information in case of suspicion of fraud, or information that is necessary to clarify specific disputes.


6. Deletion of personal information

We are required by law to retain certain personal information. Examples of this are: Bookkeeping Act Order data in accordance with the right of withdrawal Order data in accordance with guarantees. You have the right to have all our information about you deleted upon request, if we are not legally required to store it. You can contact us regarding this and terminate your customer relationship via email to: post@venuegroup.no


7. Security of personal data
We use appropriate security measures to protect personal data under our control against unauthorized access, collection, use, dissemination, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal.


8. In particular about marketing via email and SMS
If you have an active customer relationship with us, we may send you marketing via email or other electronic communication methods in accordance with Section 15 of the Marketing Act. This includes newsletters and other inquiries regarding content, services, offers, campaigns and events from us, via email, telephone, SMS and social media. If, however, you do not have an active customer relationship, we will only send such marketing if you have given us your consent to this. Your personal data may also be used to customize this communication. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time easily and free of charge through the unsubscribe function in the emails/SMS.


9. Changes to the privacy policy

We may update or change the privacy policy from time to time. In the event of major changes, we will inform you about this.


10. Right to complain

You have the right to complain to a supervisory authority, here the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, in accordance with GDPR Article 13 (2) letter d.
